Today was my first time visiting the operating room. I have visited there few times before, actually, but there were no operating done there at that moment.
Suddenly, my co-worker asked me this afternoon that I should take some pictures of a fracture operation (whew..), first off she asked me whether I have any difficulties on seeing blood. Of course, I'm not . Hahaha, and to think that the doctors were all handsome, I won't miss that chance, yahahaha...

I thought to use some pictures from the operation to have it as icon bases, whooot ??? Yeah yeah, haha, so I won't , I'm not that bad. Hahaha..

Please notice that they are all my private collection of photograph, don't use or spoil them for any other purpose than icons.

And, you know the credit : no_niq, niq, noniq..

Congrats for Spain (specially for Fernando Torres, for his adorable goal) in Euro 2008 , I love you , wohoo...

Finally back! I've changed my layout a bit, hope this one is better ---love blue style-- I slept around midnite lately re-coloring this theme -sniff sniff-

so after years, now I'm here with Lelouch, my current master (haha..) from the anime Code Geass, which I should confuse, does he really come from Clamp ?

How did I make this ? I made it when I was at office, waiting for lunch time, among my desperation, boring, starving.
So I went out, looked at the blue sky, returned to my desk, back to my Photoshop and created it.

Made on Adobe CS 2 , it can be used on the same / higher version, I don't know if it works on lower one >.<

New Style : Interview

Please don't laugh at me, I also never think that myself is a deserved one to be considered as an artist, hahaha.. But they really made it. So I really want to say thanks to everyone to support me.

Ok, this interview is something different, because it's a request interview. Kuroiookami, another great artist, requested No_Niq's interview. And these words:
"I honestly haven't seen many artworks from Niq but I have seen plenty of sets here that are her handiwork. The sigs that she's done here are gorgeous (regardless if they are full colour or monotone) and I have yet to figure out how she does the animations.
What I like the most about Niq's art is that she seems to know when to stop. It is always the right amount of background elements. The colour is right. The eye isn't distracted by a surplus of stuff. Her work just seems to have this pleasant flow to it.",

Loveless_ar: Ok, I hope you won't mind to introduce yourself with a few words to our readers because they don't know you as the artist No_niq. So tell us how old are you and where are you from? (Oh, and by the way, you are a girl right?)

No_Niq: First of all, I'm gonna say 'Hi' for everyone who read this interview and of course Loveless_ar (Thank you!).

L: He he he, you are welcome.

N: I'm NiQ or NiQie (the way people call me), I'm a 20 yo and you're right, a female (I guess I never receive people's thinking of me as a boy *wink*). I'm an Indonesian - GMT + 7 (and live there as well).

L: Do you consider yourself an artist and what's art for you?

N: Me? An artist? Well, I'm not sure, I guess that's why I was so confused when I was asked for an interview. Hahaha. But well, let's see how about for Avatar & Signature, kind of edited graphics and a simple drawing (I've just made my own Art thread).

L: How did you decide to start doing sets - avatars and signatures?

N: Um, *remembering*… It began when I joined Aarin and was so in love with how people here can create many beautiful designs. Then, I started to ask myself "Can I do that?", so I tried to join some of the set or graphic contests in Aarin and I thought that I quite succeed to produce standard sets *chuckle* and began to build my own graphic shop *nod*.

L: So, you started wondering if you can do such fine avatars and signatures, right? Did you have an idol back then? Who helped you learn the different techniques or you learned everything on your own by searching for different tutorials?

N: Lots of idols and most of their arts are my favourites *laugh*. I learned everything by myself. Luckily I learned my Photoshop basics when I was a senior in high school (I was in a graphic designers' club back then), so learning more about Photoshop wasn't such a hard thing for me.

L: Which programs do you use in order to create your avatars / signatures?

N: Common one *laugh*, Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Image Ready for the animation.

L: How do you make the animation?

N: First, I am thinking of how I should set the animation (it could be based on the requests, quotes, or my inspiration). Then start working with the frames.

L: How do you decide on the colours, the quotes, the style, the composition?

N: I always create things based on the picture's colours; if the picture contains blue things then my basic colour would be blue or purple (or something related). But if the picture contains much of red and the customer asks me to remove all the red and change it into blue-theme, I should give my extra work *smile*. For quotes, I should pay attention toward the picture to get their means.
Style and composition, I don't know how to say it, but I notice that everyone here own their own style and composition which it's so hard to explain, only if you see it you'll know and say "I know who's the creator!" (I can guess exactly whose art this is without looking at the info -"ava and sig made by…."- but it only works for some artists whose style I really know*laugh*).

L: Since we talked about colours, do you have any favourite colours and which are they? Do they matter when it comes to creating / drawing?

N: I love blue and pastel themes. Actually I love soft colours or kind of themes that gradate; when I create / draw, I always use them as my basic colour, giving such soft-pale effects (I don't think pale colour is bad though).

L: Do you believe that an avatar / a signature can say a lot about their owner and can you read the secret message behind it?

N: Sometime, yes. Few of my friends always have sets which are so attached to them, which goes with your clothing as well (like casual, gothic, etc). Because I consider avatar & signature works as your profile and personality, I put my concern in it.

L: If someone you know asks you to make a signature / avatar for them, are you going to 'write' such secret message, imprinting their character in it?

N: Of course *wink*, even I'll try to make one for you someday.

L: For me? Hm…That's tempting *smile*
Now… People say that you know when to stop, so how do you know when it is enough? I mean how do you know that if you use another colour, or picture or quote, the set will turn out to be too flamboyant?

N: (Did they really say that? Thank you! *bow*). I guess practice makes you perfect (Or almost perfect, I don't say I'm a perfect one though). Actually, I don't want something distracting my eyes and the warmth of my graphic *chuckle*. The main thing is 'comfortable' feelings, when you look at some graphic and feel that you are enjoying it, the design is good (for me). I adore people who can create simple designs but it is so comfortable to be seen.

L: How can you add a beautiful background, different ornaments, without distracting the viewer from the main topic - the couple, the picture - the thing that's the base of a signature / avatar?

N: Well, it depends on the theme. Background, ornaments act as the part of the picture, so it should not attract the viewer's attention too much (but in some cases, background and ornaments could be as important as the main picture).

L: What inspires you?

N: Many things; advertisement products, paintings, etc.

L: How long do you plan a set and how much time do you need to finish it?

N: A day, after I watch the whole details. For a set I could work approximately 1 or 2 hours, but could be longer for an animated set.

L: When we are talking about planning, do you make some sort of list, writing down everything you want to do with the set, or you experiment?

N: I just write all those things in my mind, such as "If I want to make it like this, then what should I do?". But mostly I play and experiment; it's faster *laugh*.

L: When you see a set done by another person what can draw your attention and what repels you?

N: Lots of things *laugh*. Especially when they contain style / things that I've never known before; it'll turn out like "Gosh, it's amazing! I should try to learn that!" *laugh*

L: Ok, you started your own art gallery already and even posted a few arts. What made you do it and how did you felt, reading people's comments?

N: Well, at first I made it just for fun and to improve my skills (I hope so). It is based on the saying 'the more you make, the more experienced you get', right? Yes, people's comments are also included; I really, really appreciate people who give their valuable time to comment my art *nod*

L: Tell us a little more about your One Stop Shop. Are there any restrains or people can receive anything from you? Describe us a 'purchase'.

N: I'm only making avatar & signature (I'd rather call it a 'gallery' than a shop, because I make them for free, so, it's actually not a place where you can buy things from me, but requesting *smile*). But I guess people start to request from me such banner, wallpaper, or whatever they want *laugh*. There is no restrain for me, as long as I could make it, I'll do it and it's really fine. But yeah, basically it's only avatar & signature *laugh*.
About the purchasing (I mean requesting), just tell me your wish and describe the things you want me to make, more details are better.

L: If someone isn't satisfied with the result of your work, how do you manage to correct that?

N: I always give the 'guarantee card' to each one of my customers, so they are free to complain or if they ask me to edit the words / theme, I'm gonna fix it anytime. (I hope this makes me a dedicated person, hahaha…)

L: Do you think that in the future you can do something like this but professionally? For example by being an animator, web designer or something like that or this is just a hobby?

N: Um, actually I'm working as a graphic designer now. So I would say that yes, we can do this professionally. I was thinking of becoming a graphic designer since I was in high school, so this is kind of practicing (yeah, I do this for my own pleasure in a way).

L: Ok, back on your art thread? What do you think you are going to show us in the future? What makes your style different than the rest and why I, as a viewer, should pay attention to your art thread?

N: Well, I was thinking of a new style recently, hahaha, so just wait *cross fingers*. The differences between the styles…? Well, I guess it's such an objective question, but when I'm trying to compare my style to the others', I'd say I have my specific colour theme (is it? I don't know…)

L: Since the forum is yaoi forum after all, I feel obliged to ask you the yaoi question. Do you have favourite yaoi couple and how do you feel when you have to do a set with those two?

N: (My favourite question!!!) I love Sasori x Deidara, Kamui x Fuuma, Gin x Kira, Kaname x Zero, Renji x Byakuya, Misaki x Usagi (Junjyou!!!) and many more. Well, I always wonder when I click on the link that my 'customer' gives me for their set; it's like "What would it be…?" and when I see one of my favourites, I scream "Yes!! I'll work with them!" Hahaha.. Such silly and ridiculous reaction *ashamed*

L: Wow, so pure and natural reaction, so don't be ashamed.
Now about artists, do you have favourite artists here? Obviously set makers are also artists, so don't hold back. I am sure that no one would mind if you mention their names (plus I asked the others the same question). And why do you like these people?

N: Um, I adore lots of people here, so these are some of them (really sorry if I can't mention all of you): Kath_mandu, Anko Shirayuki, Synnesai, Shini, Hadas_G, Westkitsune, Bl4ckm4lice, HokaHoka, and Eiri; they are people who I really adore for their uniqueness and consistent styles. And my favourite artist are Kaim, Demona, Kuroiookami, DarkSena, and HEISE ! *stare at Aarin's banner*, and many more…

L: At the end, what would be your advice to the amateur set makers who want to become as good as you?

N: Just try to create a new style. Designing is unlimited, so do lots of experiments to improve your work (I am also learning every day). Ganbatte!

New Style : Moment

What do you think it would ? Yes. When your life run as well as your expectation. And I never feel as happy as now.
Though I and we should know, to acquire a better life, you should ready to let something goes away from your grips.

I thought that I can get all the things I want so easily without having some part of it lost from my sight. But it won't never happen. Or in one condition, you may get all things you want, but it turn so messy cause you couldn't set "What is the real thing you want for your own"
And in the end, I stop acting that selfish. I'm a human, it's possible to have all things but can you manage those things with your own self? I have my limit and now I try to put my concern toward my "only precious things"

Is.. I'm so happy with my new office's environment, new friends, new acknowledgments, new things in my life....

So, I've been a week on my office, and I guess I'm pretty adapted there, despite all the exhausted and terribly work, tasks and so >.< ish sooo terrible XD~

My design was rejected by one of my client -you know- we really have different taste of art, and I couldn't merely say "I hate that". He loves "Red and blue" but I love "Gradient Style" color. And I start lacking sleep. I work from 8am to 5pm and I should continue some of task at home until midnight. How scary. I couldn't watch anime and read my manga as often , hahaha... This is silly, and I should do lots of graphic request !!
Gosshhhh!! Need more than 24 hours/day XD

Wow! My 2nd day going work ~tears....

Yeap, I thought that I wouldn't be able to manage whole things, but thanks God! Everyone was so kind to me and pleasantly willing to help me. I really love the environment, though I'm the only graphic designer and I should manage all things by my own. Hahaha...
Yesterday, I was so nervous and I was like hell dunno what to do, but... Yeah, the head office asked me to try adapting with my new desk, hahaha.. So I didn't do any important things lately.

But today? Gosh! Things all started with the advertisement stuff! Hahaha.. And no internet at work! Damn! How could I???

Accepted~~~~ Though they said I'm still lack of knowledge, but they really help me a lot !!! Thank you! Thanks God that people around me are just toooooo kind!!!

Thankies! to bl4ckm4lice my sweet lil sister and whoever you are, my god, my lord - she was the one who kept telling me bout updating my profiles and I'm soooo happy~ (I'll search another layout, I guess)- well, I love blue for exact, so yeah- but let it be like this for this moment.

No icons for now. I'm sorry >.< I've been so busy

Well, I went to a job interview several days ago, though I didn't think I will be accepted since I haven't completed my bachelor. I applied as a graphic designer for advertising company - and did several Photoshop and CorelDraw test. Hahaha. The reason why I applied there, because one of the staff there is my cousin, and he recommended me to join there. Hohoho.

So, yesterday I was called for a further interview along with the psycho test. And I guess, I did it. It was a simple test for knowing your personality and the last one was for intelligence, and the result was.... I'm a bit intelligence enough for been accepted.

One thing that I wasn't sure enough that I've been discouraged lately that.. I'm not a bachelor. I'm still a college student..~ Why would I face all the fact when all the employer ask me and wonder how could I've been accepted??

And... I do editing for manga-scanlation too.. So it's pretty tiring.

I'm an editor in bangAQUA scanlation, ever heard it? And also I'm applying in another scanlation group -- hope I'm accepted. God! It's the scanlation group that I wand to join for so much long... Please pray for me, will ya ?
